Job Description:

UF Information Technology -Academic Technology-Learning Spaces Support is seeking a full-time OPS employee to assist in Classroom Support.

Job Responsibilities

+ Respond to immediate request for assistance from instructors by monitoring email requests or answering phones.

+ Repair replace equipment as necessary in order to keep classrooms fully functional.

+ Perform regular maintenance on classroom computers and A/V equipment. Assist with installation and upgrade projects relating to classroom renovation.

+ Clean and organize work areas and storage area when necessary. Other miscellaneous duties as needed.

+ Some heavy lifting required as well as the ability to kneel or crouch in order to troubleshoot in certain areas.

+ Must be comfortable on a ladder.

+ Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs

Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated problem solving skills, organizational skills, and customer service orientation is required.

The individual in this position will get the opportunity to learn:

Preference will be given to detail-oriented candidates with a proven track record of reliability and willingness to learn.

The hours for this position are from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday thru Friday with occasional weekend and day shifts as needed for maintenance or to handle special events on campus.

Advertised Salary:

$14.00 per hour commensurate with qualification and experience

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills required.

+ Must be able to interact with end-users as well as IT staff across campus to resolve issues and develop new solutions to campus needs
