Job Description:

Cleans and maintains on a daily basis all halls, offices, shops, classrooms, restrooms, conference rooms, labs, gym areas, locker rooms, elevators which includes sweeping, dusting, dust-mopping, wet-mopping, spot-mopping, reconditioning of floors and spot washing and cleaning of walls, doors, and partitions.

Performs minor repair work on furniture, fixtures, floors, plumbing, etc. Assists skilled trade's employees by performing tasks including, but not limited to, preparation of job site, changing belts, filters, lights, and ceiling tiles. Completes light plumbing work to include, but not limited to, opening clogged drains, repairing leaky fixtures, as well as cleanup of water leaks and spills.

Cleans and maintains all floors and floor coverings which includes regular duties such as vacuuming, shampooing, striping, sealing and waxing.

Cleans all entrances, entrances walks, steps, patios, and concourses

Spot cleans and cleans all exterior and interior glass surfaces of all assigned buildings; cleans ceiling lights and Venetian blinds.

Empties and cleans all waste cans, trashcans, cigarette urns, recycle bins, water fountains and doormats

Assists Maintenance Staff in painting, replacement, remodeling, construction projects, and other tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Mechanic.

A criminal background and post-offer health assessment will be conducted.

Work hours are Monday - Friday 5am - 1:30pm.

Advertised Salary:

Expected starting salary is $13.00 hourly.

Minimum Requirements:

Completion of ninth grade and one year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

- High school diploma

- Mechanical aptitude and abilities (required)

- Ability climb ladders (required)

- Ability to lift 40 lbs. (required)

- Ability to work overhead (required)

- Ability to wear appropriate safety apparel (required)

- Ability to perform various tasks with minimal instruction after proper training (required)
